Teapots are a wonderful challenge to the ceramic artist: to make all 4 parts meld together into one unified piece, being both functional, and pleasing to the eye. In Bernadette’s teapots, her goal is to also imbue a sense of whimsy and character, so that each one has its own unique story, and is truly one-of-a-kind. Painting the glaze is well thought out, and an intricate part of the finishing process.
